What if the ride of your life could also change the lives of others? What if individuals from opposite ends of the earth could spend one week learning together that two wheels really do make a world of difference? Through transforming the meaning of tourism, globalbike is sharing our work with the world.

Connect trips are fully supported, week-long, bicycle treks including all meals, lodging, activities, purified water, ground transport, bikes for travelers, and other on-the-ground essentials. Participants stay in scenic, locally owned hotels, luxury tents, and enclosed campsites. Person-to-person hand-offs of donated globalbikes and seeing first-hand how globalbikes are being used by past recipients are features of the week-long trip. The trip is coordinated with and fully-supported by a locally-owned outfitter with extensive guiding experience and a strong belief in the power of bikes. 

Trip fees, traveler obligations, and appropriate ages and ability levels differ with each unique trip of Connect. However, generally, Connect travelers must purchase their own airfare and pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 to cover on-the-ground costs. Beyond that, travelers must raise $3,000 in tax-deductible contributions to support the work of globalbike. Travelers have ranged in age from 9 to 69 — with just as wide a range of cycling abilities.
