Globalbike is expanding its reach and looking to show people new ways bicycles can help. The Spartanburg group started sending bikes to Zambia in 2006 to help caregivers, who normally would walk, visit patients more efficiently. Now, the group is looking to raise $3,200 to buy 20 bikes for people in Ethiopia. Read more |

Beyond Sport invites globalbike to summit |

Globalbike, a nonprofit established to provide bicycles for teachers and caregivers in developing countries, has been selected to attend the Beyond Sport Summit in London July 7-9. |

globalbike to Assault Mitchell |
A local non-profit's 102-bike challenge has given it enough donations to purchase 76 bikes to help care workers in Zambia. A team of four men will represent globalbike in Monday's 102-mile Assault on Mount Mitchell. The group, which intentionally lowercases its name, set a goal of procuring a bike for each mile of the ride. Read more |
