Why Bikes?
Bicycles are tools that address countries' most challenging problems
Using bicycles, globalbike connects community care workers around the world to rural villages that would normally be unreachable.
Care workers in Zambia typically travel 6-10 miles a day on foot to see just 3 or 4 patients. Bikes enable caregivers to go farther and carry more supplies, with less time and effort.

“Before we received the bicycles, it was very difficult to reach some of the clients (some as far as 32 miles away from the clinic). But with the help of globalbike, we are able to travel to our clients’ homes even from the furthest areas and monitor them if they are too ill to get to the clinic.” — Care Worker

About the Bikes

When possible, globalbike uses bicycles produced in recipient countries, infusing their local economy with resources. These bikes are mechanically simple, durable, and can be worked on locally.

These bikes save lives!
